Lock 7

03/17/55 - Looking downstream. Mr. Heidel's note to this slide says that it is looking upstream but I came to realize that is incorrect. a) The light is from the wrong side. b) The walls are too low for the exit end of Lock 7 but are correct for the entrance end. c) There is collapse showing on the opposite (exit end) of this picture. The walls at the exit end of Lock 7 have suffered from major collapses, especially on the right side. d) A couple of the trees at the far end match his other shot of Lock 7 that only shows the right third of this shot from farther back, plus the earthen dam.
