Is this supposed to be Lock 26 or Lock 27? Both? Maybe the sketcher felt that both could be represented the same way??? This is looking upstream with the hillside shown on the right (in the middle of the sketch) with the creek not shown to the left off the edge of the paper. A little Monday morning quarterbacking 70 years later says that there would have been plenty of room for the creek if the sketcher had moved everything a little to the right on the paper.
