May 2004 - The landowner at Lock 34 does not like visitors, at least that's the impression he gives with the multiple signs reading We Don't Like Strangers, No Trespassing, I Have a Shotgun, and the like. We sure didn't see a Welcome mat anywhere, but the sound of the dog barking didn't leave us much time to look around. We decided to respect his wishes for privacy.

This photo was taken from an island about midstream in the creek, shot with the equivalent of a 300mm lens. You can barely see the stone through the brush, but it is the best I could get.
