Lock 51 (G&V Lock 52)

April 2003 - Gard & Vodrey's 1952 book states that this lock "at its upper end, left side, has the only remaining wood gate on the Eastern Division". Yet Richard Heidel's two shots from April 1954 do not show a gate, but one of the shots is inconclusive. There was a good bit more stone on the right side in 1954 also.
