Lock 24

October 2001 - Taken from within a few feet of where Mr. Heidel was standing when he took his shot. The stone of Lock 24, what little there is left of it, is in the same condition as in 1956 but it's now almost a jungle around the lock. And a word of warning: Be careful about walking down the center of the lock. You just might find yourself up to your knees in swamp muck.
